There was no better place in the world to “hitchhike,” as this was our “pass” to the art world. The road we traveled was the point of the action. It was most important to me to show the whole route we covered by ourselves to get there. We’d flown nearly halfway across the world by plane, from one continent to another, to “hitchhike” right in front of the entrance to Art Basel Miami Beach. I should stress that we mainly “hitchhike” when we want to get somewhere specific and we are very far away. I, however, was at my destination.
