The next step was to make a new mural on the walls of the mock-up of the art gallery, stripping it from the surface and putting it in the atelier space. In this way, I made three palettes, which I illuminated in total darkness. At the end I made a photographic documentation series, which let me touch a wholly different realm of creativity, which had been impossible to achieve on a surface, such as breaking the material. In this way, I could explore the plasticity of the palette from an entirely different angle. Moreover, through photography, the palette was on a black background. There is a similar effect in looking at photographs of stained glass. There, the black is the frame joining the glass pieces, while in Palette in Space (III) the frame is created where the material is layered, as it does not let light through. Furthermore, the light is overexposed in some fragments, leaving blank spaces on the palette. The light and blackness engulf the material, creating a new form. These experiments have served me in further explorations of the plasticity of the material.
